Instructions

  1. - Beef, lamb, veal (Med + Well done): (Tesco's OG Instructions)
    - Cook for... 30mins Per 500g (Medium)
    - Cook for... 39mins Per 500g (Well Done)

    Version #1 (Waitrose)
    - Pre-Heat the oven to... 240°C (Gas Mark: 8-9) (to form an outer crust)
    - Roast on High heat for 20mins
    - Lower the Temp to... 180°C (Gas Mark-4)
    - Roast on Low heat for the remaining roasting time
    - Baste the Roast every 20mins

    Version #2 (BBC)
    - Pre-Heat the oven to... 220°C (Gas Mark-7)
    - Roast on High heat for 20mins
    - Lower the Temp to... 190°C (Gas Mark-5)
    - Roast on Low heat for the remaining roasting time
    - Baste the Roast every 20mins

  2. - Cool Completely:
    - Immediately transfer the toasted spices to a plate to cool down completely.

  3. - Grind:
    - Once cool, transfer the whole spices to a spice grinder or coffee grinder.
    - Blitz until you achieve a fine powder consistency.

  4. - Mix in Powders:
    - Transfer the ground spices to a bowl and mix in the remaining pre-ground spices...
    - turmeric powder, chilli powder, garlic powder, and salt.

  5. - Store:
    - Transfer the finished curry powder to an airtight container or glass jar.
    - Store it in a cool, dark place
    - for up to 6 months.
