00:00:05.870 --> 00:00:11.519
in this video we're gonna learn how to create comments using HTML comments are

2
00:00:11.519 --> 00:00:15.990
very important as mentioned before they will allow you and other developers to

3
00:00:15.990 --> 00:00:21.420
read your code in an easy way especially if you arrive some code and come back to

4
00:00:21.420 --> 00:00:24.390
read it after a while and most of the time you're gonna find

5
00:00:24.390 --> 00:00:28.289
it really hard to see and understand the structure of your code if you're not

6
00:00:28.289 --> 00:00:33.300
using comments so I really recommend you use comments as much as you can when

7
00:00:33.300 --> 00:00:40.739
you're writing code so the syntax for comments is pretty simple in HTML okay

8
00:00:40.739 --> 00:00:49.430
so let's create a comment so we're gonna use a tag a comment tag and this tag

9
00:00:49.430 --> 00:00:57.239
needs to start with an exclamation mark all right and two minus signs and then

10
00:00:57.239 --> 00:01:01.670
ends with two minus signs and then you can write any sex you want in between

11
00:01:01.670 --> 00:01:06.530
okay so let's write this is a comments so comments don't show up on your page

12
00:01:10.530 --> 00:01:16.259
okay you can only see them on your in your HTML code and they help you to see

13
00:01:16.259 --> 00:01:24.659
the structure of the code all right there is an easy way to create comments

14
00:01:24.659 --> 00:01:31.380
using brackets so if you using brackets and you write some text there okay and

15
00:01:31.380 --> 00:01:36.360
you want to transform that text to eight comments you can just click on control

16
00:01:36.360 --> 00:01:42.780
for slash and this becomes a comment okay also you can comment any parts of

17
00:01:42.780 --> 00:01:47.670
your code okay so if you want to comment the first paragraph it's just gonna

18
00:01:47.670 --> 00:01:53.399
disappear from the page okay and if I just click on control four slash okay so

19
00:01:53.399 --> 00:01:58.560
now it's commented and you can't see it on the page sometimes you might use a

20
00:01:58.560 --> 00:02:05.189
comments this way to do some debugging okay or temporarily keep some parts of

21
00:02:05.189 --> 00:02:10.750
your page hidden okay alright so let's let's see regarding comments
