For Students using Windows:

Please note that the "du" command is not available by default on Windows.

You would need to download it from this Microsoft link:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/downloads/du

If you use "du -c"

The output will be as following:

Path, CurrentFileCount, CurrentFileSize, FileCount, DirectoryCount, DirectorySize

You are interested in DirectorySize which you can get by splitting the output above using the "," separator and then picking the last item.
