Since the course was published we've come to realise that the next video has a small mistake. This mistake does not affect the code at all but nonetheless it's there and we should point it out.

The mistake is that in the next video we do this:

if __name__ == '__main__':
    from db import db
    db.init_app(app)
    app.run(...)

The reason we make the import inside the if statement is to avoid a circular import. However, that is precisely the error.

You should import at the top of the file because it does not cause a circular import.

Now that that's out of the way, let's continue with the course!
