Sections 2 through 12 cover Python basics. If you know some Python already, you may skip the basics and start with the first real-world Python app in Section 13.
If you are unsure whether you should skip the basics or not, take the assessment test in the next lecture. If you pass the test (i.e., get at least 60%), that means you know the basics, and it is safe to jump to Section 13 right away. If you are an absolute beginner, feel free to ignore the test and continue the lectures in the given order.
