As well as the unit testing content in the blog, we've also written a series of blog posts on the itertools module.

I've seen newer Python programmers re-create these functions from scratch many times just because they didn't know they exist!

I recommend reading those blog posts if you want to take the next step in your Python journey. Every advanced Python developer should be relatively comfortable with the itertools module.
